LiftLab Reading Group

Overview

This initiative aims to connect phd students with the state-of-art system research (from top system conferences), encouraging learning and collaboration. Each week, members present a paper of their choosing, followed by a group discussion that critiques, analyzes, and explores the implications of the research.

We encourage students to make slides with their own narrative (with elements borrowed from paper authors’ conference version). Besides key contents from the paper, the talk should also include introduction to main authors as well as the presenter’s own comments on this work. The presenter should send the announcement one week before, and a reminder one day before the talk.

The coordinator is responsible to coordinate the schedule and reserves rooms for the meeting at the beginning of the semester.
